Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark, serving Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties, was established in 1986 as an ecumenical faith-based ministry dedicated to building simple, decent homes for low and moderate-income families. They build homes with hardworking Partner Families who supply at least 200 hours of sweat equity. Then, Habitat of Greater Newark provides Partner Families with an affordable mortgage.
