MIPIM Proptech Pitch 2017 Recap

March 21, 2017

It was great to escape snowy NYC last week to the sunny Côte d’Azur in France for the MIPIM global real estate conference. StackSource competed as a finalist of the global proptech competition, an honor earned by winning the New York final this past Fall. This was the second week in a row pitching the StackSource vision at a key conference, after competing in PitchIt @ LendIt — and officially launching our new Marketplace.

The conference boasted 24,000 attendees from around the globe, many of whom are real estate investors and developers that are shaping the major cities of today and tomorrow. While the focus is on developing and investing in real estate, the conference has a growing presence of technology start-ups that help real estate better invest and operate in today’s world with modern tools. The main event in the PropTech circuit was this global finals of the pitch competition, where we were excited to pitch alongside some other very smart entrepreneurs working on everything from 3D development maps, to HVAC optimization, to tenant-landlord collaboration software.

Tim presenting problems in lending

Our pitch highlighted the problems of Fragmentation and Inefficiency in the current commercial real estate lending market — and how we can look to online lending trends in other industries for solutions.

After back to back weeks pitching at big conferences, it’s back to work refining our product and helping property owners and real estate developers consistently achieve their best loan outcomes.
